Support our Work

How can I help?

Every gift plays an essential part in helping Woodfords advance our mission to serve children, youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We know that we could not provide the highest quality programs and services without the engagement of area businesses, BNI networking friends, community members, consumer families and local organizations. There are so many ways you can support our work:

Financial Donations

Donations can be made online on the form on this page. Donations can also be made by check, payable to Woodfords Family Services and mailed to Woodfords Family Services, Development Office, 15 Saunders Way, Ste. 900, Westbrook, ME, 04092. Please, let us know if your donation is for a specific program or fund.

Gifts in Kind

Donations of gift cards for restaurants, cafes, retail stores and gas stations are always appreciated. Passes for sporting events, cultural organizations, special events, and attractions help consumers and families get out into the community. Additionally, from time to time the agency posts Amazon Wish Lists which we promote on Facebook. Unfortunately, although we appreciate your generosity Woodfords is unable to accept unsolicited donations of books, clothes, household goods, or furniture.

Third Party Fundraisers

Host an event yourself and donate the proceeds to Woodfords. A Facebook birthday party fundraiser, a house party or yard sale. Fill a CLYNK bag for the Family Emergency Fund. To discuss your event or request CLYNK bags, please contact Cathy McGuckin, Development Manager.

Social Media—Facebook & LinkedIn

Follow us on Facebook and share our posts with your friends. Woodfords can accept donations through Facebook and occasionally hosts Facebook fundraisers.

Planned Giving

Charitable gifts of current or estate assets, including stock, insurance, beneficiary or other bequests are accepted. For more information, please contact Cathy McGuckin, Development Manager, to arrange a donation.
