Woodfords is happy to have Rachel Newcomb, LSW on our team! Rachel is our Recruitment and Licensing Coordinator for Therapeutic Foster Care. She has great experience in foster parent recruitment, training, licensing, and retention. Rachel, along with other members of our TFC team are offering our monthly respite night for our TFC families next Wednesday, March 27th from 4pm to 7pm at The Point in South Portland. Rachel will be hosting our TFC foster parents on Thursday, March 28th from 10am to 12pm on our Westbrook campus for our monthly foster parent support group. Qualifications of the Lead Teacher:
•A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, in special education, early childhood or a related field.
•A minimum of an Ed. Teach III Certificate; and a conditional or full 282 Certification; full 282 certification preferred, from the Maine Department of Education; as well as Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification.
•A minimum of two (2) years' experience and the desire to work with children with special needs.
•Training and experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) procedures in educational settings.

•You will use strategies based on the principles and practices of applied behavior analysis to address challenging behaviors and learning deficits in children with developmental disabilities.
•You will be a key member of either the In Home Support or School Based Day Treatment program, working independently with the child and cooperatively with a treatment team.
