Meet our November Mission Makers:
Noelle Cote, Lead Teacher, Waterville, SPPS. Noelle consistently goes above and beyond to create an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and capable. Her patience, creativity, and unwavering commitment to meeting each child’s unique needs inspires her team to work hard every day. She collaborates with her team members, advocates for her students and celebrates even the small victories. Noelle exemplifies the heart of our school, we are grateful for the hard work, positivity, and meaningful impact she makes every day!!
Taylor Landon, Assistant Lead Teacher, Westbrook ECS. Taylor was nominated by her peers for her dedication and reliability as an assistant lead teacher. Taylor is very in tune with her students and always offers kind and nurturing support, especially during times of challenge and dysregulation. Taylor is a great advocate for the needs of her students and classroom and never shies away from taking the initiative to speak up in the classroom or with outside therapists and parents. Taylor is a great partner to her lead teacher and an incredible asset to the school. Thank you, Taylor!
Amanda Libby, BCBA, Waterville ECS/SPPS. Amanda brings exceptional expertise, compassion and dedication to supporting students, staff, and families. Her thoughtful behavior plans, data-driven decision-making and collaborative approach have made a meaningful difference in helping students thrive both academically and socially. Amanda consistently goes above and beyond supporting with behavior management, break coverage, coaching teachers, celebrating students’ successes, and approaching every challenge with patience and positivity. Her impact is felt daily and we are grateful for her support in our school every day.
Shea McCann, Occupational Therapist, Waterville ECS/SPPS. Shea brings creativity and compassion to his work, supporting students in building the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom. His thoughtful interventions, collaborative spirit and ability to make therapy meaningful and engaging have a lasting impact on students and staff alike. Shea provides hands-on strategies to our teachers and celebrates students’ “little wins”. We are grateful for his positive energy and unwavering commitment to helping our students reach their fullest potential.
Timothy Paton, Ed Tech, Westbrook SPPS. Tim plays a crucial role in his school; this year he has really stepped up to help support the program overall and it has not gone unnoticed. Tim is always willing to lend a hand, providing aftercare, covering drop-off and pick up times, and supporting colleagues whenever possible. Tim is fantastic with students, he goes out of his way to build deep relationships, maintain open and collaborative communication, and build trust with them in a way that helps the students thrive. Thank you Tim for all you do!
Jessie Read, BHP, School-Based Services Southern, Maine. Jessie has been a School-Based BHP for the past 3 years. During this time, Jessie has shown tremendous growth professionally, especially as it relates to her behavior management skills. Jessie is a passionate advocate for her consumers who works hard to help them meet their goals. She is positive, energetic and consistent; she has strong communication skills and ensures all team members are aware of successes and challenges encountered throughout the day. Moreover, Jessie is flexible regarding scheduling changes and makes sure to utilize pre-teaching when changes occur, which increases her consumers’ abilities to be flexible. Natasha Scott, School-Based BHP, Central Maine. Tasha joined the Central Maine team in August of this year and since her transition to the program she has done an outstanding job. Tasha is a wonderful BHP and a great addition to the team. She has embraced the change of learning a new work environment all while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. When working with her consumer she is engaged and passionate. She does not hesitate to ask questions and/or advocate for the needs of her consumer. Austin Woodbury, BHP, School-Based Services Southern, Maine. Austin joined the Southern Maine School-Based team in August of this year. Since his transition to the program he has proven a capable and valuable part of the team. Austin quickly built rapport with his consumer and the school where he works. He is a great asset to the team, in his frequent communications with his supervisor, Austin has made suggestions and/or provided feedback that has led to improvements in programming. Austin has already made a positive impact on the program, and we are lucky to have him as part of the team.
