Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Training & Certification Program
Woodfords Family Services administers the Behavioral Health Professional Training & Certification Program for the State of Maine, effective August 1, 2012.
The Behavioral Health Professional Training is a 50 hour curriculum that is required for all staff working with children in MaineCare Sections 28 RCS and 65 HCT. Staff are required to complete the Provisional Module 1 Training within 30 days of hire and the Full 50 hour BHP Training within 1 year of hire. Staff must also complete training in Blood-borne Pathogens and have current certification in CPR and First Aid in order to be eligible for BHP Certification.
