SUMMARY:American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED
DESCRIPTION:This course uses a combination of video\, lecture\, and guided skills practice to teach participants to respond to cardiac and other health related emergency situations. Topics include basic first aid\, response to environmental emergencies\, warning signs of heart attack and stroke\, CPR\, and foreign object airway obstruction for adults\, children and infants. Participants should plan to dress in comfortably fitting clothing that allows flexibility of movement\, as the class includes both desk and floor work. Certification is valid for two years. Cost – $75

Attendance in both days is required. \nContact: Shannon Berger\, bh*@*******ds.org\, 207-887-5217 \nCourse Description:  This is a blended learning curriculum with 12 online modules and 9 hours of in-class\, instructor-led training. Participants must successfully complete all 12 online modules no later than 3 days prior to the Live Day session in order to be granted admittance. Completion of an OSHA-compliant Bloodborne pathogens training and current Adult & Child CPR and First Aid certification are also required for BHP certification. Please contact bh*@*******ds.org for more information. \nThe following is required to enroll in a Virtual BHP Live Day session: \n– pre-registration through the BHP Relias LMS. \n– computer with audio (a headset/earbuds recommended). \n– strong internet connection. \n– Adobe Connect – a link and instructions will be emailed one week prior to class.
