2024 Southern Maine RUBI-RCS Survey
Woodfords Family Services is working to gauge interest from our current families to see if anyone is in need of or interested in receiving additional supports that we are working on potentially providing. We will be providing the services in the following areas: Westbrook, Portland, South Portland and Scarborough.
Below is a description of those services. If you can please take the time to review these services and then answer two short questions pertaining to your interest in these. Feel free to reach out with any questions to Lori Griffiths at email@example.com or Camille Seo at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your time!
RUBI: a parent training program developed to decrease challenging behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This program requires 1-2 hours/week of time with a RUBI provider helping to assist in learning about your child’s needs. Materials provided to parents are available in English and Spanish languages. This service must take place during a time when parents are available to meet. Personalized strategies will focus on:
- Preventing challenging behavior
- What to do when challenging behavior happens
- How to promote positive behaviors
Rehabilitation and Community Support Services (RCS): RCS services are home, community and school based behavioral health services designed for children with development delays; including autism, intellectual disability and developmental disability. These services are delivered to your child/family by a Behavioral Health Professional that can provide medically necessary treatment in areas of social functioning, behavioral functioning and activities of daily living. Treatment is determined by your and other members of your child’s team. Services take place for a minimum of 12 hours/week with some level of parent involvement to include a monthly treatment team meeting to discuss services. We are looking for families that are interested in support outside of school hours at home and in the community.
