Community Supports Program-Expeditions
Woodfords Community Supports Program Expeditions provides year-round, community-based services for adults with developmental disabilities that promotes an active lifestyle. The program emphasizes physical activity, nutrition education, community involvement and caters to a wide range of interests. Experienced staff meet the needs of individuals of all abilities.
Expeditions seeks to empower consumers to make positive choices and to demonstrate that making healthy lifestyle choices can be fun year-round! Staff will work with consumers to try new activities and help them make choices that can yield positive, lasting benefits throughout their lives.
Sporting activities, hiking & biking trails, swimming at Westbrook Community Center's indoor & outdoor pools
- Gardening, with access to community gardens and greenhouses
- Trips to local parks, beaches and other community venues
- Arts and crafts, as well as other creative activities
- New experiences, like raising and tending chickens

Expeditions is based out of the Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge Street, Westbrook. The program operates Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Consumers can decide a schedule that works best for them--one day a week or more!
Participants need to be 18 years of age or older and qualify for Section 21 or 29 Waivers. Self-pay options are also available.
Referrals can be obtained through a DHHS Individual Support Coordinator or a case manager.
