Expedition Community Supports Program

Expeditions, Woodfords’ Community Supports Program, provides community-based day services for adults with developmental disabilities. Expeditions promotes active, healthy life styles by demonstrating healthy food choices, physical activity, new experiences, community involvement and new friendships can be fun and have lasting benefits. Expedition team members engage in sports activities, hiking, gardening, field trips, art and craft activities, cooking, raising and tending chickens, volunteer projects in the community and consumer-directed activities.

Expeditions is a year-round program operating Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge Street, Westbrook. Consumers can decide a weekly schedule that works best for them.

Participants need to be at least 18 years old and qualify for Section 21 or 29 Waivers. Waivers are obtained through the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS). Self-pay options are available if an individual does not have a Waiver. To download an Enrollment/Membership Packet, click here.
