Woodfords celebrates 50 years of serving people with special needs and their families.

Woodfords Celebrates 50 Years

Woodfords Family Services was founded in 1967 by the Rich family and four other families who believed their children with special needs could reach their highest potential with the right support. They started a school with five students in the basement of Woodfords Congregational Church. As the agency celebrates its 50th anniversary five decades later, we are honored to continue the mission, legacy and can-do attitude of those who laid the foundation for this organization.

Today Woodfords serves more than 1,500 individuals and families across the state with a comprehensive set of clinical, educational, family support and training programs. Without private support, volunteerism and partnerships, Woodfords wouldn’t be the agency it is today. Thank you to our donors, volunteers and friends!
