Psychiatry Services
Woodfords’ Psychiatry Services program provides treatment and management of developmental, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders for children and adults. The program has particular experience in serving individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities. Individuals receive services appropriate to their needs over time and may be seen by the psychiatrist or physician assistant depending on the situation.
Services
- Comprehensive evaluations of individuals
- Medication management
- Ongoing reviews of progress through medication reviews and team collaboration
- Treatment planning that evaluates current needs and ongoing progress in service
- Collaboration with treatment team members and primary care physicians
Eligibility & Referrals
Children and adults who have MaineCare or are MaineCare-eligible and meet APS Managed Care authorization criteria and basic level of care screening criteria.
Woodfords is currently accepting referrals for any child in need of services but is not able to accept referrals for adults who are not currently receiving at least one other service from the agency. Individuals not found eligible for Woodfords’ psychiatry services will be referred to other resources within or outside the organization.
