Developmental Evaluation Team
The Woodfords Family Services Developmental Evaluation Team provides comprehensive developmental evaluations for children age birth through 5 ½ years old. Using a team approach including valuable information from the parents, we can provide a comprehensive evaluation in all areas of development in just one visit.
The evaluation takes place in a child friendly setting with a combination of play-based activities along with standardized testing. When the testing and information gathering is complete we provide a comprehensive report and meet with the family and other team members to discuss recommendations and develop a plan.
The Team
The Woodfords’ team consists of Giovanna Hurley, psychological examiner; Barbara Crommett, occupational therapist; Kris Spitzinger, special educator; and Laurie Mack, speech/language pathologist. Families are an important part of our team and we strive to provide them with a positive experience.
Other Services
This program also provides consultation, classroom observations, technical assistance and training to community preschool programs.
Eligibility
Typically, referrals come from Child Development Services, primary care physicians, families and preschool programs. For more information regarding obtaining a referral for an evaluation, please contact Barbara Crommett at (207) 878-9663.
