FREE Parent Training Classes for Families with Toddlers and Preschoolers
Woodfords Family Services is offering FREE parent training classes for families with toddlers or preschool aged children who are “at risk” of, or show signs of, increased behavioral or mental health issues—frequent biting, hitting, aggression; self-injury; elopement; property destruction; screaming, yelling tantrums; at risk for being expelled from day care or preschool for challenging behaviors.
The Incredible Years is an evidence-based program designed to strengthen parenting skills and promote children’s optimal social, emotional, physical and academic development. Trainings will be held at the Westbrook office from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and begin on Tuesday, October 25 for preschool parents and Wednesday, October 26 for toddler parents. The preschool program runs for 18 weeks, the toddler program for 13.
