Presenter: Dr. Jonathan Kimball
Date: January 27, 2011

Children with autism characteristically have difficulty generalizing their learning beyond explicit instructional examples. New instructional settings are therefore challenging many times over, and these learners become prompt dependent more readily than independent. This webinar presents behavioral principles and empirically-supported practices such as activity schedules and video modeling that have helped children more independently transfer skills across settings. These techniques have much potential to facilitate the transition from preschool to kindergarten. Generality and Transition presentation
